How do I change the instrument in Sahi Scalper and set per-instrument defaults?

You can switch the active instrument in Scalper at any time and save separate Order Defaults (quantity, SL, and TP) per instrument, so your settings are always right for whichever contract you are trading.

How to change the instrument in Scalper:

  1. Tap the instrument name or symbol displayed at the top of the Scalper screen.

  2. Select the index that you want to trade and see. (e.g., NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, SENSEX, etc) or browse the list.

  3. Select the instrument. Scalper loads the contract immediately and restores the defaults you last used for that instrument.

Setting per-instrument defaults:

  1. After switching to the instrument, tap the 3-dot menu → Order Defaults.

  2. Set the quantity or lots appropriate for this instrument. For example, 1 lot of BankNifty = 30 units; 2 lot of Nifty = 130 units; 1 lot of FinNifty = 60 units.

  3. Tap Apply. These defaults are saved for this instrument and restored automatically each time you switch back to it in Scalper.

Important: Always double-check your lot size when switching instruments. Different F&O contracts have different lot sizes entering the wrong quantity results in a position much larger or smaller than intended.
