Accepted Answer

No. It is free to use. Standard brokerage and statutory charges apply to each order.

Question 9

How do I switch between stocks?

Accepted Answer

Swipe the chart switcher under the chart to move to the next or previous stock in your list. The chart reloads with that stock, and your timeframe and indicators carry over.

Tap a stock in the chart switcher to jump straight to it.

Tap search (the magnifier icon) to load any stock that isn’t in your list.

Question 10

Which stock lists can I switch between?

Accepted Answer

My Lists: your saved watchlists, for stocks you track daily.

Intraday Scanners: live scans (Price Volume Breakout, Early Mover and Opening Range Breakout), for finding today’s movers.

Tap the List icon next to the chart switcher to switch.

Question 11

Accepted Answer

Tap the List icon next to the chart switcher, open My Lists, and pick the watchlist you want.

Question 12

What are Intraday Scanners?

Accepted Answer

Pre-built live scans that refresh during market hours. They surface stocks showing unusual price or volume action. Each scanner has a Bullish and a Bearish view. Tap a stock to load its chart in Stock Scalper, then trade from the same screen.

Question 13

How often do Intraday Scanners refresh?

Accepted Answer

Every 5 minutes. A stock can enter or drop off a scan as conditions change.

Question 14

Can I change the chart timeframe and add indicators?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use the timeframe selector and the indicators menu in the chart toolbar. You can add your own intervals, save indicator setups as templates, and use custom scripts you’ve built with Custom Indicators on SAHI web.

Question 15

Do my chart settings carry across stocks?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Set your chart once. Your timeframe, chart type and indicators stay on every stock in your list as you swipe.

Question 16

Accepted Answer

No. You can view one chart at a time, for the stock currently selected.

Question 17

How does 1-Tap Buy/Sell work?

Accepted Answer

Tap Buy or Sell in the order panel. The order goes to the exchange as soon as you tap. There is no confirmation screen, so check your quantity before you tap.

Product: Intraday (MIS)

Quantity: the quantity in the stepper for that stock

Order type: your 1-Tap default, Market (default) or Limit

Question 18

Are 1-Tap orders intraday or delivery?

Accepted Answer

Always intraday (MIS). For delivery (CNC), use the expanded order form.

Question 19

Can I short-sell with 1-Tap?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tap Sell with no open position to open an intraday short. It must be closed the same day, or it is squared off automatically.

Question 20

How do I change the quantity for a 1-Tap order?

Accepted Answer

Use the stepper between the Buy and Sell buttons. The quantity applies to the next 1-Tap order, and Stock Scalper remembers it for that stock.

Question 21

Can I enter quantity by amount (₹) instead of shares?

Accepted Answer

No. Quantity is set in shares.

Question 22

What is the default order type for 1-Tap?

Accepted Answer

Market. It fills at the best available price. You can switch to Limit in Order Defaults (⋮ menu, top right).

Question 23

Market or Limit: which should I use for 1-Tap?

Accepted Answer

Market fills right away, at the best available price. You have no price control, so slippage is possible, but the fill is guaranteed, subject to liquidity. It suits liquid large-caps and breakouts.

Limit fills only if the price reaches your limit. You have full price control, but there’s no fill guarantee. It suits stocks with wider spreads, and mid and small caps.

Question 24

How is the limit price set for 1-Tap orders?

Accepted Answer

You choose the reference in Order Defaults:

Best Bid/Offer: buy at the best ask, sell at the best bid. Highest chance of a fill.

LTP: limit at the last traded price.

Midpoint: halfway between bid and ask. Saves on the spread, but may take longer to fill.

Question 25

How do I see the margin needed before tapping?

Accepted Answer

The margin your quantity needs shows under the Buy and Sell buttons and updates as you change quantity. Your available funds are in the Funds tab of the top panel.

Question 26

How do I place a delivery order in Stock Scalper?

Accepted Answer

Tap the expand arrow in the order panel.

Select Delivery (CNC).

Set quantity, order type and price.

Tap Buy or Sell.

Question 27

What can I set in the expanded order form?

Accepted Answer

Product: Intraday (MIS) or Delivery (CNC)

Order type: Market, Limit or Trigger

Quantity: in shares

Price or trigger: for Limit and Trigger orders

Validity: Day or IOC

SL and TP: attach on entry

The form shows the required amount and charges before you place the order.

Question 28

Can I place an intraday order through the expanded order form?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Select Intraday (MIS). Use this when you want a custom price, trigger or one-off quantity without changing your 1-Tap defaults.

Question 29

How much money do I need for a delivery order?

Accepted Answer

The full order value (100%) plus charges. Delivery orders get no leverage. The form shows the required amount before you place.

Question 30

Can I convert an intraday position to delivery?

Accepted Answer

Yes, before auto square-off. Open Positions and tap Convert to Delivery to change MIS to CNC. You need funds for the full position value.

Question 31

Does the expanded order form stay open?

Accepted Answer

It stays open until you close it. Close it to go back to 1-Tap. You come back to the same stock.

Question 32

Can I place orders directly on the chart?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can place limit and trigger orders at any price level on the chart.

Question 33

How do I place a limit or trigger order on the chart?

Accepted Answer

In the order panel, tap Limit/Trigger on Chart. A price line appears on the chart.

Drag the line to your price.

Check the quantity in the stepper.

Tap Buy or Sell.

The buttons change to show what you’ll place, for example Buy at Lmt or Sell at Trg. Your order then shows as a pill on the chart at that price.

Question 34

Which order type does the chart pick: limit or trigger?

Accepted Answer

Buy with your price below LTP: buy limit, to buy on a dip.

Buy with your price above LTP: buy trigger, to buy on a breakout.

Sell with your price above LTP: sell limit, to sell into strength.

Sell with your price below LTP: sell trigger, to sell on a breakdown.

Question 35

What is a trigger order?

Accepted Answer

A pending order that becomes active only when the price touches your trigger. Use it to enter breakouts or breakdowns without watching the screen.

Question 36

How do I modify a chart order?

Accepted Answer

Drag the order pill to a new price. The order is modified at the exchange when you release it.

Question 37

How do I cancel a chart order?

Accepted Answer

Tap the × on the order pill. It is cancelled right away. You can also cancel it from the Orders tab.

Question 38

Are chart orders intraday or delivery?

Accepted Answer

They are intraday (MIS). For delivery limit or trigger orders, use the expanded order form.

Question 39

What are the lines (pills) on my chart?

Accepted Answer

Order pills: pending limit and trigger orders.

Position pill: your average entry price and live P&L. Intraday positions are marked I and holdings are marked H.

SL and TP pills: stop-loss and target levels on open positions.

Question 40

Can I hide order and position pills?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from chart settings. Hiding pills does not cancel any order.

Question 41

How do I set a stop-loss (SL) and target (TP) on a position?

Accepted Answer

From the chart:

Drag down from the position pill to set a stop-loss, or up to set a target.

In the sheet that opens, choose SL Market or SL Limit (TP Market or TP Limit for a target), and check the quantity and trigger price.

Tap Apply.

The sheet shows the estimated loss or profit before you apply.
From the Positions tab:

Open the position.

Tap Add SL/TP, enter your prices, and save.

Question 42

Can I set SL and TP together?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When both are set, they work as a pair: when one executes, the other is cancelled automatically.

Question 43

How do I modify my SL or TP?

Accepted Answer

Drag the SL or TP pill on the chart to a new price, or edit it in the Positions tab.

Question 44

How do I cancel my SL or TP?

Accepted Answer

Tap the × on the SL or TP pill, or remove it in the Positions tab. The position stays open.

Question 45

What happens to SL and TP when I exit the position?

Accepted Answer

They are cancelled automatically when you exit, whether you exit fully or with 1-Tap. No pending SL or TP orders are left behind.

Question 46

What happens to SL and TP when I partially exit?

Accepted Answer

Their quantity adjusts to the remaining position.

Question 47

Can I use a trailing stop-loss?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tick Trailing Stop Loss in the SL sheet, or tap Add Trail on the SL pill. The stop-loss follows the price in your favour by your set step and never moves back.

Question 48

How do I add to an existing position?

Accepted Answer

Tap Buy (for a long) or Sell (for a short) again with 1-Tap. Your average price updates, and your existing SL and TP extend to the new quantity.

Question 49

How do I exit a position?

Accepted Answer

From the chart: tap the position pill, then Exit at Mkt.

From Positions: tap Exit on the position.

With 1-Tap: tap the opposite side (Sell for a long, Buy for a short) with matching quantity.

Partial exit: edit the quantity in the exit sheet before confirming.

Exits follow your 1-Tap order type (Market or Limit).

Question 50

Can I exit all positions at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tap Exit All in the Positions tab. It closes all open intraday positions and cancels their SL and TP.

Question 51

Can I reverse a position in one tap?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. Exit the position, then place an opposite 1-Tap order.

Question 52

Where do I see my orders, positions, P&L, alerts and funds?

Accepted Answer

All five are in the top panel of Stock Scalper. Each opens over the live chart, so you never leave the screen.

P&L: Total P&L and Stock Scalper P&L, each split into realised and unrealised.

Positions: open and closed positions, average price, LTP and P&L.

Orders: open (pending) and completed orders for today.

Funds: available balance for delivery and for intraday.

Super Alerts: your active and triggered price alerts.

Question 53

What is the difference between Total P&L and Stock Scalper P&L?

Accepted Answer

Total P&L includes every position you’ve taken today, including ones placed outside Stock Scalper. Stock Scalper P&L shows only the trades you placed from Stock Scalper.

Question 54

What is P&L Protect?

Accepted Answer

You can set P&L Protect from the P&L tab to manage your day’s P&L limits.

Question 55

How do I see pending orders?

Accepted Answer

Open Orders, then Open. Pending limit and trigger orders also show as pills on the chart. Tap one to modify or cancel it.

Question 56

Why is my order still pending?

Accepted Answer

A limit order fills only when the price reaches your limit, and a trigger order waits for the trigger. Check the price, or modify or cancel the order.

Question 57

Where do I see closed positions?

Accepted Answer

In Positions, under Closed. They show realised P&L for the day.

Question 58

Why do I see multiple entries for the same stock?

Accepted Answer

Intraday (MIS) and delivery (CNC) trades in the same stock show as separate positions because they are different products.

Question 59

What is realised vs unrealised P&L?

Accepted Answer

Realised: profit or loss on closed trades.

Unrealised: live P&L on open positions. It changes with the price.

Question 60

Does P&L include charges?

Accepted Answer

No. P&L on screen is gross, before brokerage and taxes. The net figure is in your contract note and P&L statement.

Question 61

How do I set a price alert?

Accepted Answer

Long-press the chart at the level you want, tap the + icon, and choose Create Super Alert. Set the price or candle condition and save. You’ll get the alert by app notification and email. Manage your alerts in the Super Alerts tab.

Question 62

Do alerts place orders?

Accepted Answer

No. Alerts only notify you. Use a trigger order if you want an order to be placed at a price.

Question 63

How do I add funds without leaving Stock Scalper?

Accepted Answer

Open the Funds tab and tap Add funds. Pay by UPI, and you come back to the same chart once the payment succeeds.

Question 64

How do I change 1-Tap orders from Market to Limit?

Accepted Answer

In Stock Scalper, tap the ⋮ menu at the top right, then Order Defaults.

Tap 1-Tap Buy/Sell.

Select Limit.

Pick the limit price reference: Best Bid/Offer, LTP, or Midpoint of Bid/Offer.
