How does the Trailing Stop Loss adjust as the price moves step by step?

Here is the precise mechanism of how TSL adjusts on Sahi:

Step

What happens

1. You enter a position and activate TSL

The TSL is set at: Entry Price − Trail Value (for a long position). Example: Entry at ₹100, Trail = ₹10, initial TSL = ₹90.

2. Price moves in your favour

As the price rises above ₹100, the TSL follows. At ₹110, TSL moves to ₹100. At ₹120, TSL moves to ₹110. And so on — always Trail Value behind the highest price reached.

3. Price consolidates or moves sideways

TSL stays at its last updated level. It does not move down if the price falls short of a new high.

4. Price reverses by the Trail Value

If the price falls from ₹120 back to ₹110 (and your TSL is at ₹110), the TSL triggers. A market or limit exit order is sent to the exchange.

5. Position exits

Your position is closed at or near the TSL trigger price. The linked TP order (if any) is automatically cancelled.
