Placing Orders on Exchanges (23)

How do I convert a regular Stop Loss to a Trailing SL directly from the chart on Sahi?

If you already have a fixed Stop Loss set for an open position, you can convert it to a Trailing Stop Loss directly from the chart, without going into the order panel or Order Defaults.

How to convert SL to Trailing SL from the chart:

  1. Open the chart for the instrument where you have an open position with an active SL.

  2. Tap on the SL order line on the chart to select it.

  3. You will see a ‘Add Trail’ option. Tap on it, and it will get converted into a TSL.

  4. It will take the default trailing stop loss values, if set by you.

  5. Confirm. The fixed SL order is replaced by a Trailing SL that now moves dynamically with the price.

Once converted, the TSL behaves identically to a TSL placed at entry — it moves in the direction of profit and never moves against you. The current chart view updates to show the TSL line rather than a fixed SL line.
