How to read the Ledger

Entry type Description
Credit Money coming into your account, fund deposits, sale proceeds from equity delivery, option premium received on sell orders.
Debit Money going out of your account — fund withdrawals, purchase payments, brokerage and charges, MTM (mark-to-market) settlement for F&O losses.
Balance Your net available cash balance in your trading account after each transaction.
Settlement Equity trades settle T+1 (buy money debited or sale proceeds credited on the next working day). F&O settles on expiry or on close.
Charges Brokerage, STT, exchange fees, GST — appear as debit entries typically at end-of-day after trades.

Note: The Ledger balance is your actual available cash in your Sahi trading account. It does not include unrealised gains/losses on your open positions or the market value of delivery holdings in your demat.

Tip: Cross-check your Ledger balance with fund transfers from your bank to ensure all deposits have been credited correctly. If any entry looks incorrect, contact customercare@sahi.com.
