How do I track my open Positions in Sahi?

The Positions tab shows all trades you have open during the current trading session, including intraday (MIS), carry-forward (NRML), and Scalper positions. Unlike Holdings (which shows delivery stocks you own), Positions reflects trades you've entered today that are not yet fully settled or squared off.

What the Positions screen shows:

Column Description
Instrument Name of the stock, index, or F&O contract you're trading.
Product MIS (intraday), NRML (carry-forward F&O), or CNC (delivery equity).
Qty Number of lots or shares in the open position. Positive = long (bought), Negative = short (sold).
Avg. Price The average price at which the position was entered.
LTP Live market price of the instrument.
P&L Real-time profit or loss for the position: (LTP – Avg. Price) × Qty × Lot Size.
Day's P&L Total P&L for all trades in that instrument for the current day, including closed trades.

Position types:

  • MIS (Margin Intraday Square-off): Intraday positions that must be closed before 3:20 PM or they will be auto squared off by Sahi.
  • NRML: Carry-forward F&O positions that remain open overnight and can be held until expiry.
  • CNC: Delivery equity orders — these appear in Positions on the day of purchase and move to Holdings from the next trading day after settlement.
  • Scalper: Positions opened from Scalper mode. They follow the same MIS/NRML rules but are opened via the Scalper terminal.

Note: Auto square-off for MIS positions happens at 3:20 PM at market price. A charge of ₹50 + taxes applies per auto square-off order.

Tip: Tap any position to see the full order breakdown — including all buy and sell legs that make up the net position.
