Tata Steel Q1 Results 2027: Profit Falls 21% QoQ, Revenue Dips 3.9%
Tata Steel reported double-digit year-on-year growth in Q1 FY27, although profit and revenue declined from the previous quarter due to lower realizations and an exceptional loss.
Tata Steel Q1 FY27 Results: Consolidated revenue fell 3.9% QoQ to ₹60,794 crore, while net profit dropped 20.8% QoQ to ₹2,318 crore on a one-time exceptional loss of ₹345 crore. EBITDA margin came in at 15.2%, down from 15.5% in Q4 FY26. On a yearly basis, both revenue and profit rose in double digits.
Tata Steel Q1 Results FY2027: On 30 July 2026, Tata Steel announced its consolidated financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2026. Revenue from operations rose 14.34% YoY to ₹60,794.29 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) attributable to owners increased 11.58% YoY to ₹2,318.35 crore. However, both revenue and profit declined on a quarter-on-quarter basis.
Ahead of the Q1 FY27 results, Tata Steel shares closed 0.15% lower on 30 July. However, the stock is up 3% on a year-to-date (YTD) basis and has gained 16% over the past one year (30 July 2025 to 30 July 2026).

Tata Steel closed the first quarter of FY27 with revenue from operations at ₹60,794 crore, down 3.9% from ₹63,270 crore in the March quarter. Against the same period last year, revenue is up 14.3% from ₹53,178 crore, helped by better volumes across its Indian and European operations.

Total income followed the same pattern. It stood at ₹61,027 crore in Q1 FY27, down 3.9% from ₹63,519 crore in Q4 FY26, but up 14.1% from ₹53,467 crore a year earlier.

EBITDA came in at ₹9,264 crore for the quarter. That's a 5.7% drop from ₹9,829 crore in Q4 FY26, but a 24.7% jump from ₹7,428 crore in Q1 FY26.

EBITDA margin slipped to 15.24% from 15.53% in the previous quarter, though it improved from 13.97% a year ago.

Consolidated net profit attributable to owners of the company fell 20.8% quarter-on-quarter to ₹2,318 crore, from ₹2,926 crore in Q4 FY26. Compared with Q1 FY26, profit was still up 11.6% from ₹2,078 crore
