In a stock exchange filing, Reliance Power said it has taken enabling steps through its subsidiaries to participate in the rapidly growing AI and allied technology sector.

The company clarified that it has expanded the business objectives of its subsidiaries to include artificial intelligence and technology-enabled services, allowing them to undertake AI-related business activities in the future.

At this stage, the company has not announced any investment, project, partnership or revenue guidance related to AI. The filing primarily focuses on modifying the subsidiaries' business objects to support future opportunities.

Which Subsidiaries Were Renamed?

As part of the restructuring, Reliance Power approved new names for four subsidiaries:

  • Reliance AI Green Power Private Limited

  • Reliance AI Power Private Limited

  • Reliance AI Data Control Private Limited

  • Reliance AI Data C Private Limited

The new names reflect the company's intention to build a presence in AI and technology-driven businesses.

How did Reliance Power's share perform?

Reliance Power has remained one of the more volatile stocks over the past year.

The stock has gained around 14% in one week, 7.5% in one month, and nearly 29% over the last 3 months, as of 1 July 2026, outperforming Sensex, which has risen about 5% during the same period.

Despite the recent rally, the stock remains under pressure over the longer term. It is down around 17% in the last 6 months and nearly 59% over the past one year.

Reliance Power had touched a 52-week high of ₹71 in July 2025, while its 52-week low stands at ₹20.23, recorded in March 2026.
