Axis Bank Q1 FY27 Results: PAT Up 22% YoY, Asset Quality Improves as GNPA Falls to 1.28%

Axis Bank Q1 Results 2027: On 18 Jul,  Axis Bank reported its Q1 results for FY 27. Its consolidated total income rose 7% YoY to ₹43,213 crore, and consolidated net profit climbed 22% YoY to ₹7,632 crore in the June 2026 quarter. Gross NPA improved to 1.28% from 1.57% a year ago. Axis Bank Q1 FY2027 Results Highlights (Consolidated)

  • Interest earned, the bank's core income line, came in at ₹35,541.96 crore, up 9.87% YoY and 4.01% quarter-on-quarter.

  • Axis Bank's consolidated total income for the June 2026 quarter rose 6.96% year-on-year to ₹43,212.82 crore, from ₹40,401 crore a year earlier, and grew 5.03% from ₹41,142.69 crore in the March quarter. 

  • Pre-provision operating profit, the key profitability meter for lenders, stood at ₹12,498.75 crore, up 15.52% from ₹10,819.26 crore in the preceding quarter but only 2.33% higher than ₹12,213.89 crore a year ago, 

  • Consolidated net profit came in at ₹7,632.31 crore, up 22.24% YoY, though nearly flat against ₹7,602.63 crore in Q4 FY26. Diluted EPS for the quarter stood at ₹24.41 against ₹20.04 a year earlier.

  • Asset quality showed clear improvement. Gross NPA ratio for the standalone bank fell to 1.28% from 1.57% a year ago and 1.23% in the March quarter, while net NPA improved to 0.39% from 0.45% YoY. 

  • Net interest margin came in at 3.46%, down from 3.80% a year ago and 3.62% in the previous quarter, as the bank's floating-rate loan book repriced down faster than deposit costs adjusted.
