Consolidated profit after tax came in at ₹611.19 crore, up 11.46% from ₹548.35 crore in Q1 FY26, and up 22.86% from ₹497.49 crore in Q4 FY26. Diluted EPS stood at ₹2.83, compared with ₹2.54 a year ago and ₹2.30 in the previous quarter.

Solvency ratio, a key regulatory health metric for insurers, improved to 185% as of June 30, 2026, from 177% in March 2026 and against a regulatory minimum requirement, is comfortably placed above threshold.

HDFC Life Reports Healthy Growth Across Business Metrics

Renewal premium increased 19% year-on-year to ₹9,020 crore, while new business premium rose 12% to ₹8,140 crore. Sales of new policies, measured by APE, grew 7% to ₹2,970 crore.

Growth was broad-based across distribution channels. Agency business grew 21%, non-bank partnerships rose 22%, and direct sales increased 19% year-on-year. Bancassurance remained the largest channel, contributing 57% of new business sales.
