HDFC Bank Q1 Results FY2027: On 18 July, HDFC Bank reported a mixed performance for the first quarter of FY27. Net Interest Income (NII) increased 6.67% year-on-year to ₹33,533.95 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) rose 4.98% YoY to ₹19,059.72 crore. However, operating profit declined on a yearly basis due to margin pressure. Here's a detailed breakdown of HDFC Bank's Q1 FY27 results.

HDFC Bank Q1 FY2027 Results Highlights ( STANDALONE )

  • Total Income stood at ₹92,184.38 crore in Q1 FY27, declining 7.07% YoY from ₹99,200.03 crore in Q1 FY26. Sequentially, total income increased 2.64% from ₹89,808.90 crore in Q4 FY26. 

  • Net Interest Income (NII) increased to ₹33,533.95 crore, up 6.67% YoY from ₹31,437.97 crore. Compared with ₹33,081.57 crore in Q4 FY26, NII grew 1.37% QoQ. 

  • Pre-Provision Operating Profit (PPOP) stood at ₹28,168.06 crore, declining 21.17% YoY from ₹35,733.96 crore. Sequentially, PPOP increased 1.31% from ₹27,802.92 crore. 

  • Operating Profit Margin stood at 30.56%, compared with 36.02% in Q1 FY26 and 30.96% in Q4 FY26, contracting 546 basis points YoY and 40 basis points QoQ. 

  • Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹19,059.72 crore, rising 4.98% YoY from ₹18,155.21 crore. Compared with ₹19,221.05 crore in Q4 FY26, PAT declined 0.84% QoQ. 

  • Net Interest Margin (NIM) remained stable at 3.26%, unchanged from both Q4 FY26 and Q1 FY26. 

  • Earnings Per Share (EPS) increased to ₹12.38 from ₹11.86 in Q1 FY26, registering 4.38% YoY growth. Compared with ₹12.49 in Q4 FY26, EPS declined 0.88% QoQ.

HDFC Bank Q1 FY27 Segment-wise Revenue ( STANDALONE )

Retail Banking remained the largest contributor to HDFC Bank's revenue during the quarter, followed by Wholesale Banking and Treasury. Wholesale Banking recorded healthy growth, while Treasury revenue declined sharply on a year-on-year basis.
